OPENSTARâ Specifications
The OPENSTARâ Specifications are now available to non-members for download. We are charging a small fee for access to these specifications, as they represent a large body of work by the Consortium. The specifications are divided into two groups, the Hardware Specifications and Software Specifications. Each is preceded by an OPENSTARâ Architecture Overview and the OPENSTARâ Specification Structure Description.

These two documents should be read first. In each bundled group (Hardware and Software), the Architecture Overview and Structure Description are followed by all currently approved OPENSTARâ Specifications, conveniently packaged in a .zip file.

By ordering these specifications, you have the right to read and understand the OPENSTARâ Open Architecture in detail, but this download does not carry with it any of the rights and privileges of membership in the Semiconductor Test Consortium, such as the right to build OPENSTARâ modules, the right use of the OPENSTARâ Logo, or any of the IP protection afforded to members of the STC organization.
It is our desire to utilize the publication of these specifications to broaden the knowledge of the industry to the Open Architecture concept and to encourage interested parties to join the STC. If, after downloading the specifications, your company decided to join the STC and signs a membership agreement within 3 months of downloading the specification, we will be happy to credit your payment for toward your Membership dues.
