THE SEMICONDUCTOR TEST CONSORTIUM'S FIRST GLOBAL OPENSTAR CONFERENCE
SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 21, 2006 - Semiconductor Test Consortium, Inc. (STC), the non-profit, industry-wide organization fostering the global adoption of the Open Semiconductor Test Architecture (OPENSTARâ) standard, held its inaugural Global OPENSTAR Conference (GOC) March 6 - 8 in Monterey, California. Celebrating its third anniversary this month and gaining momentum in the semiconductor industry, the STC was created in direct response to industry-wide demand for open-architecture test solutions. 126 international members and non-members attended the groundbreaking conference from 59 different companies. The GOC succeeded in its main objective to further understanding and development of the OPENSTAR ecosystem, while bringing together many of STC's worldwide members now totalling more than 80 - together to learn more about both vendor capabilities and user needs.
